Basic
Chairside Program
This is an
introduction to the basics of Orthodontic mechanics and
the skills associated with them.
This
lecture specifically covers:
• Tie, Cut & Tuck metal ligature ties
• Tie rotations & directional ties
• Place and remove arch wires
• Deliver and adjust headgear
• Tie back and arch wire
• Fit bands on Molars and bicuspids
• Place and adjust locks
• Distinguish the different strengths in arch wires
• Basic arch wire bending and manipulation
There will be instructional videos, handouts and discussions

Treatment Coordinator 2 – 2 weekends – OTC

Advanced
Chairside Program
This is a continuation
of OTC I as well as more advanced skills and Orthodontic
treatment planning issues.
This
lecture specifically covers:
• Omega stop placement
• Placement of elastics
• Closing arch wires and mechanics
• Retention procedures
• Bend and place a closing loop arch wire
•Understanding the Tx plan
There will be instructional videos, handouts and discussions.

• Developing case presentations
• Presenting case presentations
